In this episode, I head to the former home of Stanley Aviation to see what developer Mark Shaker was up to in creating the incredible Stanley Marketplace project in 2016. Now that construction is complete, it is an incredible facility hosting many events, pop-up performances, and more!
Stapleton is home to the largest urban fill-in redevelopment in the country. Built on the site of the Stapleton International Airport, which closed when DIA opened in 1995, the carefully planned neighborhood transformed seven and a half square miles of concourses and runways into a vibrant neighborhood attracting many residents with its beauty and peaceful suburban atmosphere. The thorough planning and construction of Stapleton provide a neighborhood with all the best parts of classic urban neighborhoods and combine them all in one place. Spacious front yards, beautiful porches, parks, variety of architectural styles can all be found in this beautiful neighborhood as well. Remnants of the old airport are creatively integrated throughout the neighborhood’s structure.
The Shops at Northfields Stapleton provide ample shopping opportunities for residents, as well as spots to eat and drink. Northfield, conveniently located just north of I-70, is becoming one of Denver’s most developed neighborhoods with appealing modern architecture and an ideal location.
