Observatory Park / University Hills Neighborhood Highlights

Near the University of Denver, Observatory Park and its sub-neighborhood, University Hills, offer convenient accessibility to the amenities DU has to offer while maintaining a charming, upscale neighborhood environment. Coffee shops, restaurants and bars fill this bustling neighborhood. Because of its proximity to the University, there are a number of coffee shops and fast-dining, hip bars, and casual restaurants nearby. The neighborhood is characterized by families, business professionals, singles and graduate students.

The neighborhood’s greatest feature by far is the park after which it is named. Observatory Park is a large, beautiful park filled with spectacular trees, baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and wide open spaces. The park is as accessible as Washington Park with a fraction of the crowd. The Chamberlain Observatory is housed in the park and can be visited during open hours. Residents of Observatory Park or University Hills enjoy the beautiful diverse architecture, the many restaurants and coffee shops in the area and strolling around the University of Denver’s gorgeous campus. It’s a wonderful place to call home.
